Hey Guys, Well I only have 6 days left at TIG. I really enjoyed this experience, learning about people and their goals in life! I think its beautiful to think that so many people out their want to make a change in this world. The more people involve themselves the easier it shall be to help the people who need it the most. I will continue to post on my blog and on the website.
Hello Tiggers,
Well today I was reading some psychology articles, and as I was, I felt the need to read a Schizophrenia article. This is a horrible disorder. I mean no matter we do we can only halt temporarilly the effects of this mind altering illness. I find it sad that we do not comprehend what brings on Schizophrenia. It ruins lives as well as the lives of people who have to live with somebody who has this terrible disorder. Just the fact that one to start hear voices is scary to think about. I have a couple of friends who have relative who have been affected by this, so I have heard of what it can do to a person`s mind. As well as in my psychologie classes. So I have to say on this note that I do hope that one day we might find a cure for this disorder.
As you might have noticed, my few last posts haven't all that TIG related. So I shall put myself back on track. I know this event has come and gone. But I would like to address a certain subject. The Canadian government. I think what bother's me the most whist watching the videos of the 2011 debate would be that, when I listen to Stephen Harper, I have no clue if what he says is true or false. I have lost all trust in are present government. I my opinion I find it very sad that we have lost one of the most beloved Canadian politicians. Jack Layton, who was a great leader and I could have only wished that people could have made a different choice, on who to vote for after so many bad decisions the Conservative government have made. Obviously every person has a right to make decisions when it comes to voting for whom they think best represents their views. But people should look to the future and see what the long term effects of certain choices are present government have made.
As you guys might know. (My legion of fans) One of my greatest pass times (apart from starring at myself in the mirror) Would be reading. I'm usually reading Fiction, mostly fantasy but recently I've started reading more "serious" stuff. Its often of religious nature. But not the bible. I read the book: God is not great, how religion poisons everything. Its an interesting book, slightly extreme in some passages. But the main idea is very interesting on how various religious cults have acted based upon their faith. But one must realize that people make their one choices, one should not try to use a higher "power" to justify their acts. But I digress, all to say that I have been reading books that make you see a bigger picture. Well for myself in any case. One should to always have an open view on the world and one's own surroundings.
Hello TIG members,
Well as I have said that I've been reading a lot of comics recently. And one in particular that has been holding my attention would be Deadpool.
Its kind of a comical comic (haha). Its the fact that he has two voices in his head that natter at him constantly. As well as the fact that he knows that he is a comic book character. Mixed in with him having conversations with his enemies while they fight. I think the whole different aspects really appeal to my goofy side. Its the fact that you can read the stories of a bounty hunter while still having a good laugh. It might not appeal to everyone (obviously). But I do still propose it to people who love comic books!
